empty space

bernardo morales is an aerospace engineer major studying at one of america's most prestigious national defense universities. his roommate, crew member, and new best friend, henry unwin, is there too.

they both lead relatively peaceful lives, going to their classes, heading to the simulator for flight and fight practice. peaceful. all up until the world falls apart and the news comes in: a hostile alien species has declared war upon earth.

suddenly thrust into the spotlight and staggering with the weight of their responsibility to defend the world, henry, the leader and head commander of the air force squadron G2, shatters.

now as henry's former right hand man, it's up to bernardo to fix things, to mend the hole henry leaves in his wake, to tell himself and everyone on their crew that things are going to be okay, even as the earth burns, and burns bright.

he doesn't need distractions. he can't afford the wasted time. but...henry's newfound affliction with him certainly doesn't go unnoticed.

bernardo can't have this luxury.
