Alex was going into his senior year in high school, he was on track to be valedictorian and he was class president, but when he started getting letters from a person with an extremely different life story his views on life shifted. Lily was also going into her senior year, she came from an abusive family as a child and had been in foster care since she was ten, Lily was court ordered to participate in a program called Letters to Nobody, which connected people from different walks of life. 
 The program connected Alex and Lily and as they learned more about each other they became more interested in the other person's story. Halfway through the program Lily gets the opportunity to meet Alex face-to-face and they jump at the idea and soon enough they meet. But there is only one problem that Alex never bothered to tell Lily, he is very, very sick and unless he can get the help he needs within the next two years he's going to die.All Rights Reserved

There she met seven other kids with situations similar to her own. Will Lily get better and go live with her family again or will she remain in a sense of denial enough that her sanity is in jeopardy? This story is told from Lily's point of view but it actually told by another girl with her little comments every now and again.
