The Big Five are Zoo Phoenix Academy's most well-known and well-loved clique. Everyone knows Zill's witty, easy-going attitude, Kayla's sweet, selfless disposition; and Jack's awkward-but-lovable luckless quirk. And just like everyone knows the Zill/Kayla couple combo and the Zill/Jack B.F.F. combo, everyone knows that the last two members of the group are as inseparable as the others. Spam and Vanexa are the "oddballs" compared to the others (even Jack, which is saying something), and while Spam's goofiness and Vanexa's aloofness might not seem to mix, they're closer than two peas in a pod.
