Teikoku's rankings drastically dropped ever since Kidou left the team. They lost match after match and people started to make fun of Teikoku as they are.
Months had passed and after a while, they managed to get two new players in the team and to everyone's surprise, Kidou returned to Teikoku as well. Sakuma, who was the new captain, offered Kidou to become the captain again, but he refused the offer. He would help him out instead.
When Teikoku applied for the upcoming tournament, their Commander, Kageyama Reiji, informed them that their application got rejected since they didn't have the requirements for the tournament. The organization that leads the tournaments changed the rules and every participating team needs at least one female player. With Teikoku's pride, it is hard to accept the new rules but they insisted that they want to play. They wanted to show the world once again what strength they have.
But Teikoku is running out of time. The tournament is getting closer and if they don't have a female player before the authorizations are coming to check their team before they are allowed to participate, they might even disband Teikoku due to the low rankings they currently have.
