Damon Walker stood before Dylan's grave. It had been 2 days after her passing and he felt like a part of him had departed with her.

He blamed himself for her passing. Told himself over and over he could've stopped it. He could've stopped her from leaving through the open door. The door that lead to a night filled with drug, alcohol intoxication and an orgie filled house.

He also blamed the society he lived in, he blamed life. It was life that lead him here.

Everything happens for a reason. There's no way to stop the events that occur. The same preachings rang in his ears. He felt like vomiting.

Events are unplanned, just as he couldn't have planned who he feel for while in California for the summer vacation.

COMPLETED Living a life you didn't sign up for is hard, but doing so while feeling lost is harder. Dylan Amity is a musical prodigy. He could play a range of instruments, from the electric guitar to his violin. He lived, ate, and breathed music and was on track to becoming the orchestra's lead violinist. He was ready to become one of history's best composers. But he decided to place his dreams on hold for a while when he found out that his dad, the CEO of Amity Industry, was diagnosed with stage three lung cancer. His dad's death was expected, but the way he died wasn't. After the reading of the will, Dylan is faced with the harsh reality that you don't always get what you want. Following a short period of grief, Dylan is thrust into a world of business, responsibilities, and guardianship. He never wanted to be CEO, but now he has to because it's what his dad wanted. He also never expected to be Amber's, his thirteen-year-old sister's, legal guardian. Dylan has to put his dreams aside as he learns to navigate his new life without any experience of being a CEO or a guardian. Without a guide, Dylan is bound to feel lost, but maybe Rose could help. Maybe she could teach him how to deal with it. ••• Sneak Peek: "You know what, Amber? At least I'm fucking trying!" I gritted out, meeting her eyes that practically blazed with fury. "Yeah! Trying to act like papa. But guess what, Dylan, you never cared about me or what I did!" She screamed, taking steps back towards the stairs. "You never cared when I was a baby, you didn't care when I was a toddler, and guess what! You don't care now. You're only pretending to care to make yourself feel better. But you don't! No one fucking cares."

"You just did." I'm getting better at this speaking thing. He became serious, "Do you think that people are naturally evil and they do good things and become good? Or that once you do something horrible, your instantly bad?" He looked at me intensely waiting for an answer. His thunder storm eyes staring into my chocolate brown ones. "Everyone is g-good. Every life matters, no m-matter what." I said. "Why?" "You know I'm in a gang right? A dangerous one? That's kills people? That tortured people for their amusement? Kassie, I killed people! There's no restart button on life and I look theirs away. But Kassie, I can still do it, I regret nothing. Every single death I caused gave me pleasure. It gave me a rush. And I can't stop. I put my forehead on his, which was hard considering our hight difference. I cupped his cheeks and said, "have you hurt me yet?" "Kassie, I can-" "Shush. I don't care if your a psychopath or a murderer or a vampire because when I look into your eyes, I see fear and hurt. Something made you the way you are and that created this. This." I said poking his chest than mine. "Would we have met?" He smiled, "I guess not." Kassie Leah Rose is mute. She is a child at heart and a wise old man at the same time. Never underestimate her. I'm a man who's remained silent for far too long, though. So, when Landon hits his breaking point quickly because the world refuses to leave him alone, I know what I need to do. I might have been a man who remained silent... But maybe it's time I break my silence. And fight for and beside the one I love.
