An Illusion

This is a short story(that I mad in a class assignment) that is about two pre-teens(a boy and girl who are half-siblings) that are trying to prove to their parents that they are responsible by trying to solve a mystery in the forbidden haunted house(dumb right?). But is that all he is trying to prove.....?
