The Virus

The Virus spread like a wildfire. Consuming everything and everyone in its path. Leaving behind undead creatures to feast on human life. But humans were smart. They ran. They hid. They survived. Learning as much as they could about this virus.

Building palisades and bases to protect what remained of human life. Leaving us... The undead to try and get to them...

I should've died that day... I can't remember how long I was out. But it was long enough for things to go from bad to worse...

A hierarchy was born and the virus mutated creating monsters out of us.

A mindless zombie I was... But soon things began to change... And the fog lifted. No longer was I mindlessly wandering the planet like the vile creature I was. And slowly... Changes started within zombie society. Others... Others like me have become sane. Coherent. Able to think alongside humanity.

We soon learned you can't stop being what you truly are... Even if it's a monster.
