For centuries, the Celti people have lived under the oppression of their Petrosian masters, but they continue to practice ancient rituals, festivals, and competitions. They have long forgotten what the rituals are for, until a burst of purple light flashes out from the forrest. Little do they realise that the small flash is herald for events that will change their world forever.

REWRITING! ' Why Do You Shun Me When You Have Fallen? Why Do You Shun Me When You Have Fallen? ' _______________________________________________________________________________ An ominous presence stirred as the Sun's final rays slipped below the horizon, casting the land into darkness. Shrouded in mystery and danger, a new power emerged with the onset of twilight. A cascade of purple flames erupted, their fiery tongues reaching out hungrily to consume anything in their path. The air crackled with malice, and an aura of trepidation settled upon all who beheld this spectacle. None were spared from its wrath, for the purple flames spared no one. Amidst this chaos, a shadowy figure materialized, her countenance contorted into a sinister smirk. With teeth bared like a predator, the enigmatic being reveled in her newfound dominance. Her name was whispered in fear and awe-The Shadow. She possessed an arsenal of lethal weapons, her claws gleaming ominously in the dim light. Fear was foreign to her, for she embraced the darkness that enveloped her. Beware, for the arrival of the Night loomed ominously, signaling the demise of the radiant Sun. The world was thrust into an eternal night, where the moon's pale glow held sway. It was a time of survival, a battle for existence against the encroaching darkness. Those who dared to face the challenge were urged to be resilient and determined. The Sunre, a chosen few who dared to resist the Night's dominion, were called upon to stand firm against the relentless onslaught. But it was an arduous task, one that demanded unwavering fortitude. ____________________________________________________________________________

~Night is forever.~ --- In a world with endless night, Sparrow, a sixteen year-old girl with an affinity for the thievery, lives in a world where the sun has disappeared centuries ago. The people of this world have adapted to the never-ending darkness, developing unique biological traits and lifestyles to survive, with their own customs and traditions. She stumbles upon a secret society that calls themselves Lightfall, claiming to know the truth about the vanished sun, and she embarks on a dangerous journey into the unknown, seeking to uncover the truth and bring back the light. --- Cover by: @FaithIsFuture (me) on Canva --- He rakes a hand through his hair. I notice a new scar on his jaw, pale blue against the darker rest. "They call themselves 'Lightfall'." "Lightfall? How absurd." I laugh. The sun, if there had been a sun to begin with, had disappeared thousands of generations ago, and the people living on planet Terra had evolved (or hadn't, depending on different beliefs) with new 'abilities', like night vision, blending in with shadows, and the star patterns on our skin that could glow at will. I honestly didn't really care what had actually happened, more focused on the present than the past. "Everyone knows the sun is gone, or never existed." Hunter laughs. "I assure you, it does." --- I apologize for all the name changes and cover changes. I can't find anything juuuust right. Also ignore various plot holes in the story, spelling mistakes, random scene changes, and how the tense might change from present to past. Hopefully I never accidently wrote in future tense, but excuse my lack of editors. If you're wondering why it says 'Book One' in the title, it's because I'm planning this to be a series if I ever really go hard on finishing the first book.

They say, "Be careful what you wish for." They say, "There's truth to every story." They say, "Karma's a B***h." A heart's wish is a powerful thing. But magic doesn't exist. Or so I thought. Now, a troll has found me. ************* Cara I can't... It hurts... Why? Am I not good enough? Not pretty enough? What did I do to be betrayed like this? I feel numb except for the gaping hole in my chest. The darkness starts creeping in. I wish... Heavens how I wish... Friday June 13th I don't know when, how, or why I ended up where I am, but here I am. As insane as it sounds, I am no longer on earth. I think. Maybe I'm dead. Or maybe I'm in a coma! One where I can feel a hell of a lot of pain and new scents are being created? Maybe, just maybe, I should have listened to Grandmother's crazy stories of magic in our blood and being careful what we wish for. They don't sound so crazy anymore. All I know is I'm on the ground, can't move, staring up at an impossibly blue sky through broken branches of trees I've never seen before. That's saying a lot. Botany is my favorite hobby. I think I have internal bleeding from falling through the three-story tall trees like a pinball. My only regrets are knowing my Mum will be in a panic, won't quit searching, and my sweet American Pit Bull Terrier, Nimuë, fell through with me. ************* Tavirian Our laws are clear. If we find any creature wounded past the point of healing, we kill them. It's a mercy. We've gotten a reputation for being ruthless and cannibalistic because of it. Hundreds of years ago, perhaps, but not anymore. I'm still a monster. I'm on my ancestral pilgrimage to present the spirits with my potential brides. I'm not thrilled with my options. My mate is out there, but the elders are pushing me to take one of our Tribe. When we come across a nearly dead, tiny human and her creature, I can't kill them. Especially now. I can use the pilgrimage to save them for now, but I'll need help.

*Complete* Hi, I'm Dawn Miller. My life was as ordinary as they get , until I found myself in a place no human has ever been before. In this place I met the guardians of the ocean, forest, sky, fire, moon, and the sun. I learned there that while I was going about my life our earth was dying. It was there job to help save our world, but I was the only one who could take them. Only we can do anything to save our world. I just didn't know if I even had a chance at doing anything that big. But it didn't matter how I felt, all I could do was help or else everything I knew would be gone. This is my story.
