It has been one year since the zombie apocalypse started in Francis Sullivan's small town, Carlisle Bay. Her family finds refuge in an island off the coast of the town, and with her twin sibling's birthday coming up, her family plans to go back to the mainland for a party. But when their helicopter runs out of fuel, the family finds themselves trapped in a mall surrounded by the undead. With the help of her high school crush, Roman DeMarcus, the two plan to get their families back to New Carlisle. Can they get through the zombie-infested city?
