King - Despite having good looks and not to mention a smart brain. He is also an international chess player and is really very arrogant when it comes to winning. One day, he notices a certain girl, for winning the chess competition in the female category during their school intramural. He then decides to challenge her, but it turns out that she wasn't the kind of player he expected. 

Chester - A very lazy and timid girl when it comes to doing something she's not in the mood to. Was named Cheshire short for Chess, because of her mothers love for chess games. Treats King as one of her gay friends after being so annoying and always forcing her to play with him all the time.

Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
