When Eva finally makes the competitive dance team at Salt Lake City Dance Center, she is beyond excited. Not only is she living her dream of dancing competitively, but she also gets to be with Annie, her crush. But things at SLCDC are more complicated than they appear. Between the drama at the studio, a few trouble-making mean girls, and killer practices, Eva is feeling more exhausted than ever and almost considers quitting. But one day when the girls' contemporary teacher assigns Eva and Annie a last minute solo because she "likes their chemistry", Eva and Annie find themselves caught up in each other and, while Annie is more confused than ever, Eva suddenly has a reason to stay. But will Eva survive all the hard work and crushing competition, not to mention heartbreak? And will Eva get through to Annie before Annie's psychological issues consume her?
