For the past three years, I've lived on an island, right on the ocean. To my dismay, rather than enjoying the beauty, I am forced to watch as people throw more and more plastic bottles into the sea, littering the once beautiful beaches, turning the blue waters grey. While watching a documentary on Plastic pollution, I was really touched by the efforts some people are making to help the many sea creatures who face the threat of a poisoned ocean. The toxic wasteland we are creating must be stopped.
That is why I am participating in the #planetorplastic writing competition. I want to help make a difference, and I encourage everyone to do it too :)
I hope that people will realise what damage we are doing, and soon, for if we don't, the end of our time on Earth may come much sooner than we had thought...
