This is a fiction story about a girl named Cairo in which along her journeys, comes to a sunflower with special powers, but be careful! This Sunflower has a tale to tell, and it is not a good one. It is said that there once was a girl who stared at the sun and Apollo (greek god of the sun) so much that Apollo had gotten fed up and turned her into a Sunflower. Over thousands of years after that, the Sunflower still stands, but once free, would she cause wrath among others? or forgive? Could she still favor Apollo? Or seek revenge? Who knows?

Kingship, the ultimate power in the ancient world. To the Egyptians, it was a power passed through the female line. Only the husband of the Solar Princess could be king. A recently discovered tomb in 1883 opens a glimpse into the depths of political ambisions and power plays from centuries before. When the gods dabble, the horrors of the past have a way of coming back to haunt the world once again. ********** This is a short story. I hope you like it. I would love to hear feedback on this. I set this as mature just to be sure. I don't give overly explicit details of violence or sex, however, the story does delve into topics of a more mature nature. It is also a work of fiction that I wrote. Please do not copy any part of this story. I do not own the rights to the photos posted. Those are just images I found online and the rights go to the original owners. Thank you. As for the names of the characters, I pulled all of the names during the historical periods from actual history. So, I am sorry if the names are odd or difficult to follow, it is set during a specific reign and the historical people around the royal palace. I really enjoy writing from actual history as much as possible when I do delve into history. If people like this, I may try to work on a longer story of a historical romance in the Ottoman courts.
