Box of Matches is a poem I created in my intro to poetry class. It's written as a sestina and uses only words that appear in Gertrude Stein's Tender Buttons. Hope you enjoy it.

third poem collection. they aren't in any particular order or anything like that, and after 100, there will always be a new one. if you've been here a while, I'm sure you know the drill. now, about the cover. it was a random Thursday, and an old friend and I went to Cottonwood Island Park in PG. this bridge is covered in graffiti and writing, and it has been painted over to cover it up, or boards have been replaced to get rid of it. yet, there's always writing on this bridge. it felt like no matter what, nobody can silence the voices that need to be heard. and I felt that. anyways, please enjoy this chaotic collection of poetry. The Songs of The Gullible Wiseman: The Early Poems of Maddy Kobar 2008-2013
A young writer's newly released first collection of poems. Written during the tumultuous and at times troubling years of high school and the more forgiving and enlightening years of college, Maddy Kobar captures what it was like to have come of age in the last few years. These poems touch on personal levels with hope and hopelessness amid the most confusing years of one's life as well as some of the larger issues facing our society- such as women's rights, LGBTQ equality and the fragile state of the environment. The poems are broken up into four categories; Love and Disappointment, At Desperation's Door, Voices That Speak for Themselves, and Life's Lies Unveiled (or Truths that must be told). This collection was originally released on Amazon in Summer 2013. I honestly want more reads and reviews on ALL my writing so I'm going to re-release this collection as a 2nd edition now for Wattpad. This edition may have differences from the 1st edition. I'm not partial to poetry any more. The quality varies between the poems. I wrote them all between the ages of 14 and 20.Complete
