(Notice, I'll be taken this story down from the free platform and uploading it to Kindle Vella. It's been sitting on here for three years and it's time. I am giving anyone who is reading it a chance to finish it before I take it to the other platform.)

Every family has their share of secrets. For one young man, Raven, the secret he holds has made it so he can not share any romantic contact with anyone, not even a single kiss until his eighteenth birthday or his whole life would change. If he does he would become a demon like his mother. Growing up knowing he could never feed, even by mistake takes it's toll but he's almost there. His best friend/roommate had other plans however and no one ever told him what would happen if he did feed.

Elliot's partner was his whole world, but after Allan's death, his ghost haunts Elliot's dreams. Everyone tells Elliot to move on, but he isn't sure he can. ***** It's been a year since the love of Elliot's life, Allan, passed away. Everyone thinks he should have recovered after that much time, but Allan still haunts Elliot every night. He struggles to maintain relationships with his family, and despite a coworkers interest he can't summon up the courage to date. Elliot is living for the past, because to live for the present means he'll have to live with a hole in his heart. But the question Elliot has to face chases him through his monotonous days: is mourning Allan with everything he has truly living? [[word count: 40,000-50,000 words]]
