Time travel is a controversial topic on earth, number two on the list of top ten no no's to talk about in public right after politics. Everyone thinks that when the government said time travel they though go back in time and be able to come back to the present, or that they go to the future and come back to the present. Nobody realizes it is a one-way trip until it is too late, because of the government thought everyone knew what they meant by time travel. As in, let's freeze everyone in solid ice so they never age! By the time they are unfrozen, they will have made a way to get back! No such luck for the human race, because they all died out and the time travelers tawed on their own.

Alula is a child of parents that support the time travel movement and had her just so they could be the proud parents of a time traveler. They didn't have her out of wanting to care for another human and put her through lots of classes and training. Her existence and purpose is built around time travel and trying to get into the program, to make her parents proud of her and maybe love her for once.

Adan is a boy who hates what he is named after, the earth, he hates how people are spoiled and do nothing. He wants to be a time traveler and go to space, only his overprotective parents won't let him. They don't support the idea of time travel, in fact, they hate it. They won't let him be anything but an almond grader a fucking  ALMOND GRADER! WHY the hell is that even a job? The one job that requires you to stay on Earth, forever and ever.

[Updates on Tuesdays and Fridays] Shyla woke up dreaming of having a daughter who would cause the world to crumble and yet years later was creating a wish list for her baby shower, having married the man of her dreams. She knew the inevitable would happen but what if she found a way to cheat her visions; she would give the baby away, the events wouldn't happen and the world would be safe. Her dreams and visions had already made an exit for all monkeys yet a slight Ray of fear lingered about her. Her parents had gotten all laboratories dealing with cryogenics to be shut down without much Ado. Yet here she was searching for an illegal lab or doctor who would help her with surrogacy. The pregnancy and the surrogacy would have to be in utmost secrecy. Almost everybody knew her, she was famous for having accurately foretelling the falling of a small meteor that would burn a hole through Earth's moon. Only when the actual event occurred did people pay attention to her warnings. But now her predicament was different. She knew what would happen, but she wanted to alter it. She hoped against all odds knowing that it was futile. Seeing was tricky. If you saw something you know it would happen, but then what was the point of seeing if you couldn't do anything about it. So here she was, trying to change the outcome of what she saw. One day she sat down on a swing and rather moodily kept tossing the salted nuts from her bowl to various targets in sight. One such Target was her bookshelf. She had just tossed a nut at a rather large book when she noticed that it held an invitation. She pulled it out and turned out to be her cousin's wedding card. It had been a while since the event and they were still childless. A sudden thought Wave struck her as she pinged her cousin.

The people of Cambaar split into two sides over the final battle. Lorelei still doesn't believe it will work. As the war rages forward relationships unravel. Sanity is lost. To make his life better he made a trust fund in 1901 to be paid to his parents in 1957 so that he could grow up wealthy and not have to milk cows. The trust fund worked very well and when we last saw Tommy he was learning to be a rich kid. In this book he discovers how money can change people. His parents are now rich snobs and send him to boarding school to get him out of their hair. Tommy is none to excited about this but before he can arrange a change and have a do over he his shipped off to the capital. Kick off your shoes and sit back and see how he wriggles and squirms trying to change things. How much can he mess this up? How does a country boy cope with a big city? Is there truly a happily ever after?
