Everyone thinks that when the government said time travel they though go back in time and be able to come back to the present, or that they go to the future and come back to the present. Nobody realizes it is a one-way trip until it is too late, because of the government thought everyone knew what they meant by time travel. As in, let's freeze everyone in solid ice so they never age! By the time they are unfrozen, they will have made a way to get back! No such luck for the human race, because they all died out and the time travelers tawed on their own.
