How it had been me, holding him in my arms as he joined Ace and his wife in the afterlife. How it had been me, to avenge him, by killing Uldren Sov and his Barons. Wearing the Ace cloak, to always remember him, and carrying his Ace of Spade's hand cannon to honor him."

"It was too much, so I went to distract myself by going on mission after mission. Raid after Raid. I finally wore myself down enough to be captured while on Earth in what used to be America. Jasper Nevada to be exact since Vex activity had spiked in the area. Well, that was confirmed when I ran into a large operation on an old abandoned military base and was attacked. Overwhelmed, I was taken to a holding facility of some sort and here I am now, after weeks of their testing and experimentations."

The Hunters scout out terrain, reclaim Dead Zones, and are the eyes and ears of the City- the Warlocks research the secrets of the fundamental ideas of the Darkness, predict future events, and enthrall themselves in the workings of the Light to understand it and to find new ways to work it into the Guardians arsenal- and finally, the Titans, Defenders of the Last City, and the burning lights of hope in the shadows. Honor-driven. Leaders. Warriors. The Protectors of Humanity. Deeply intertwined in the history of the Last City. What happens when one is reborn and becomes one of the few able to wield the flame of hope as his own, to burn off the shackles of darkness that have been crushing humanity's will and hope to dust, What happens when he experiences so much tragedy, so much pain, that he delves into the shadows? What happens, when he finally snaps? And what happens to his loved ones when they are forced to put him down?
