Tower of Memories by KhunYamao

I stood tall, lifting my chin to meet his gaze. He sat upon the golden throne, and I remained below. Was I afraid? I couldn't say for certain. He was my comrade, someone I would have died for, someone I had followed without hesitation. And yet... "I didn't hear you." His voice was deceptively soft, still carrying that familiar warmth, but beneath it lay something heavier. Yet despite the sadness in his eyes, his tone sent a chill through my bones. "With all due respect... you are still my friend." His fingers tightened imperceptibly on the armrests. "And what do you mean by that?" "I promised to help you become the King." My voice didn't waver. "But I never swore allegiance to you... Zahard." Silence. The air grew thick, the weight of my defiance pressing between us like an unsheathed blade. I knew the cost of those words, yet I refused to kneel - not before the throne, not before him. His eyes narrowed, lips curled into something between pity and cold amusement. He gazed down at me like I was an ant. "I see..." _______________ This story is about a girl named Midnight. Left alone, she walked around the floors of the Tower, not suspecting what adventures and acquaintances awaited her. How will relationships with new companions develop? What secrets will have to be solved in order to climb higher? And who will be able to melt her icy heart and principles? _______________ This story based on Tower of God, that belongs to SIU. All arts made by me. If you like it give me a sign <3 We almost know NOTHING about 13 warriors and their adventure, so almost everything here, including the characters of the MCs, their interactions and the events are my imagination :) Also I'd like to mention. English is not my native language. And I never wrote something like this before, but I really wanted to try. Sooo I just want you to have some fun with me and this cutie guys. I love them so much.

To Lose or to Gain: Boiling Point (Avatar: The Last Airbender Fanfic)

25 parts Complete

When he was sixteen, Lu Ten thought the Fire Nation would change the world. At age thirty, he realized it wasn't the world that needed changing, right at the same time some of his not so clever life choices started catching up to him. It was time to become wise, like someone he greatly admired, even if he couldn't do anything with said wisdom. Disclaimer - I don't own Avatar: The Last Airbender. This is both a giftfic for a good friend of mine, KelseyAlicia who encouraged me to go the route of Lu Ten/Ursa in my To Lose or to Gain series, but also an ONC project. While parts of this story arc are AU to where I intend on taking the To Lose or to Gain series others are not. The prompt I am using is number thirty, "'Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.' - Rumi."
