In my world, we have three certain types of people. Their are the heroes, a.k.a  humans with unnatural powers that run around in leotards all night fighting off criminals. Mutts, who classify as mostly human but with powers that morphed their appearance. And of course humans with no special talents that train mutts to be their personal champions for profit in the underground arena. The purpose of our society caste system is to give everyone a purpose and keep them in line, but I've never been good at following those rules.

When Valerie Reed turns 21 she has to make the choice that determines who she will be. Choosing her champion was suppose to be easy. Except he wasn't what she expected. He almost looks normal if it wasn't for his electric blue eyes that faintly glowed and the vibrant blue hue that emitted from the tattoos across his chest. He's not suppose to be anyone special, just a submissive mutt willing to fight to the death for his master, but she has bigger plans for him. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!

A new take on the first novel of the Anti-Hero story line, with updated and polished writing. Expanding and rewriting the story along with adding never before scenes and characterizations with most of the original story beats along the way. This is not the official canon novel, however I'd like to think of it as an alternative universe. You might recognize some things, and see new ones as well. This is also a test for the audience to see how my writing has improved over the years. See which one does best. This is a demo, and will only be up to eight chapters before the main plot of the story unfolds. So if this gets enough traction and if people like this version more, then I'll continue writing it and make this one the canon version instead.
