this story is about a boy named Gene, who is adopted my a family of 4. His birth parents died when he was 2, and he was in 3 foster familys. His adopted mother is maya, his adopted father is goerge, his two new siblings are his little sister lele who is 12 and his little brother who is 15. Gene is 16 an has blach hair, cyan eyes, and likes to wear black. He has depression, and was always bullied at each new school he goes to. He's gay, and hangs out with two girls and two guys that he meets at his new school. Later in the story, he has to go to the hospital and was prescribed with cancer.
