Footsteps. Crunching against plastic packets, past rare specks of green, as far as what can be seen. The creature with no name and no mouth travels our Earth. Their destination has ceased to exist. Only the occasional belonging gives any indication that there was once something there. Humans have drawn so much power from the Earth. Created great things. So great, in fact, that their planet has become it. 'Our Planet is Plastic' is my entry for National Geographic's #PlanetOrPlastic contest. In the Planet Or Plastic contest, participants are required to write a short story about the effects of it in 500 words or less. Here is mine :) Word count: 500 exactly. | Finished 23 November 2018
