"I don't care," Jungwon's voice was low, hushed, but filled with a quiet desperation. He took a step closer, closing the distance between them until she could feel the warmth of his breath against her skin. His gaze held hers, intense and unyielding. "I don't care what they say, Minji. I only care about you."
She tried to hold her composure, but the intensity in his eyes was unraveling her carefully constructed walls. Her lips parted, her breath shaky. "I'm going to be queen," she said, the words faltering as her fingers instinctively reached for the pendant at her neck. "We can't... I can't."
Jungwon's hand gently caught hers, pulling her fingers away from the necklace. His touch was soft, lingering, as his thumb traced small circles on her palm. He stepped in even closer, his forehead almost resting against hers. "You can," he whispered, his voice now impossibly soft, sending a shiver down her spine. "But will you?"
Her breath hitched. The heat between them was undeniable, their hands now intertwined. His presence was overwhelming, intoxicating, pulling her toward him despite everything she was supposed to stand for. For a moment, nothing else mattered-the crown, the kingdom, the duty. There was only him, only this.
