Access to light, clean bedding, or a warm meal was considered a privilege within the structures of Hydra. A glimpse of these comforts could only be granted to a soldier who followed orders. Peter was not one of them. With his thin limbs, the malnourished twelve-year-old was on the brink of death from exhaustion and starvation. It seemed that his days were numbered, and he himself longed for death.
