This time, I can't help but flinch as touches me and pulls the other strap down .. baring my other shoulder to his eyes. "Anthony, you can't say those things. We ... we're supposed to be best friends." He kisses my shoulder and the words come out weak, unbelievable .. unconvincing even, as they come from my own lips. Anthony stays quiet after what I say, or rather he ignores me, instead using his other hand to play with the skin on my stomach exposed from the top. "I know .." He trails off. I hold my breath in wait, the temporary silence sending my mind spinning at the situation that'd developed. "But I don't know if that's enough for me, B." Anthony moves my hair to side as he says the words endearingly. And then there's another kiss to pair. Although it isn't a simple peck this time. It's an actual kiss, slow and softly pressed into the nape of my neck. Beatrix thought she'd never trust another guy again. Her last relationship had changed her, in so many ways that she hated. The experience had been unbelievable and both unbearable. After doing the first year and a half of college online, she transfers to the esteemed, private Highland University with just one wish: Normalcy. The plan was simple .. just keep her head down, study her ass off, try to become a functional person once again and hopefully make one friend or two. Everything was supposed to start over that year, a fresh start for her. She'd had high hopes and was faithfully prepared to blend in to the background. And it does go well. Until she sits down in Spanish, where she meets Anthony Gamaro. Beatrix finds herself in an odd friendship with the 20 year old football player. One that's strangely wholesome and slowly helps her begin to open up a bit. Not just to him but new friends, opportunities and the college experience of course, filled with studying, stress, partying, fun and some drama.

29 parts Complete Mature

Set in 2009 Boston, Massachusetts... following the lives of students hit by the recession beginning in 2008. Their woes, from silver spoon to stainless spoon building their resilience and creativity. Hiding beneath their happy faces are insecurities while helping each other go through the transition of life from student life to the real world. Three geeky and academic best friends had their fates changed when Rachel started dating the basketball star Xander, attracting so much envy from other women in campus whilst fighting her distraction of the economic squeeze. Things got awkward between Rachel and Steve who for years silently had eye for each other, though it made Steve more confident as a person and Lara tried to calm both down and concentrate on their work especially as recession era graduating students drama is the least they need. Student and faculty life at Brandt University is not only as glamorous as their buildings covered in ivies and their new glass buildings it also has full of love, hate, sabotage, drama, laughter and tears especially among the graduating students awaiting for concrete prospects of their degree outcomes. True friendships are found within its corridors, dormitories, classrooms and cafes but so do heartaches, gossips and reckless competition. Mention of institutions are purely of fictional purpose only.
