The nightmare is over but the trauma only begins.

Describe your surroundings. Relax your muscles and even your breathing. Understand how you feel and why. Confront your fear and know that you are OK. These are the steps my sister, Justine, takes during her panic attacks.

My father always said, "Don't show fear, that's a weakness. Don't forget who the monsters are. They are everywhere". Now He does not. My mother was the brightest of us all. She showed me the goodness in the world, but her light is dull. Justine used to be a sassy, outspoken individual. Nothing or No one would stop her but Someone did.
Then there is me, trying to find the pieces that were lost during the tragic event that stole the happiness in my family. I do not know how to stop my world from crumbling. How my world ended. It has been 9 years since we have seen him. 6 years since his name has been said. 4 years, no one has talked about it.
