My reflected self grinned at me with full rosy lips, brought out by the rosiness of my cheeks. Her porcelain skin brought out by the darkness of her hair and the grey peasant blouse and black shorts she was wearing. Feet bare but swathed in plush cream carpet she walked closer.
But I, Elise Parkersin had already stopped metres from the mirror.
She still walked, step by step closer to the mirror, never stopping until her hand pressed onto the glass. Grinning her torso turned to my right, a reflection to the door on my left, hair swaying behind her and baring her porcelain neck; empty of any love bites from non-existent lovers.
Her right hand reached for the doorknob, showing the curving tattoo present from her wrist to elbow mimicked from my left hand in real life. Reaching her hand gripped around it and gently turned. The door left ajar she turned back to me and grinned.
Not saying a word, she smiled coyly and licked her lips like a delectable sweet was just within her reach. Again she turned to the door and pressed her tattooed hand against the ajar door, opening it. Turning to me smirking, two sets of male hands pulled her into the room with the door banging shut after them.
The door to one of my best friends bedrooms.
Ari and Soren's adventures continue as Soren struggles with his new vampiric urges and a coven of witches attempts to recruit Ari for their own ends.
*****
As dark dreams plague Soren, Ari finds his new abilities difficult to control. Something is awakening within him, and as his power grows, he attracts the attention of a group of witches who call themselves the Hecataeon. They believe Ari is an emanation of the goddess Hecate - a physical manifestation of her power - and they want that power for themselves. With their relationship facing challenges from within, Ari and Soren must find a way to unite their strengths before external forces tear them apart.
