A boy whose life was a lie,
A Team that does not trust,
A school that hides too much,
And secrets that soon shall be revealed.

'Never go to a place that is high" - meaning that no climbing high trees, being on the roof, and most of all, no hikes on the mountains, and being close to a cliff. That was one of the rules that Leo Vale followed for a long time, until one day, he broke it and his world, quite literally, changed forever.

Leo's life was nothing but difficult. Full of secrets that even he does not know. Of things that were kept hidden from him.

Waking up in a world different from his own, he want's nothing more than to return home. However, in order to do that, he must attend Northerean, a school of apprentices who are taught to control their magic.

Northerean is not what it seems. Its a place that hides a lot. One of which is its ties with his past.

Start Date: September 16, 2017 End Date: August 1st, 2018 Shapeshifting has always been around us but we've chosen to remain ignorant to the signs we've been left with. But in reality, it has thrived not below us but within us and around us. We continually turn a blind eye to the treasures hiding in plain sight. At the age of fourteen, if you are suspected to be a shapeshifter, you are required to go to Vale, a school. A school like this was hidden from the world under ground. Once at the school, you are sorted into to teams of eight to fifteen students. Each team is given a quest to complete instead of completing an exam. If the quest is not completed, you do not advance to the next year. With tensions running high between the Shapeshifting Clans, this is not easy. At the last minute, a group of nine students is thrown together to form a team. And they don't exactly get along. Lark Tanning has just discovered her powers and is still exploring the peculiar aspects of her predicament. She struggles to understand why she of all people is put to lead the team's quest... and so do the others. Harper Magdalena has known she could shift into a bird since the age of five when she fell off the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. She'd never told a soul until one August day when a boy accidentally stumbled upon her shifting. When she's offered a place at Vale, she's amazed to learn she isn't as different as she thought. Lance Taylor is an arrogant boy who's known it was his destiny to go to Vale since he was able to walk. He's anxiously awaited the day of being assigned a team and quest. He can't wait for when he's chosen to lead his team through their quests... until he finds out he won't be. The team has a bumpy road ahead and if they can't learn to work together, they could very well fail the quest but much more is at stake than that. A mysterious voice has been edging their way into some shifters' minds and no one can figure out who it is or what they want.

The kingdom of Verlockend has a secret. Within its emerald green hills and spanning lakes lies a deadly curse. Behind its citizens' extravagant masks exists a condition beyond compare: hideous boils that cover every face. For as long as Fawn has known, this is the way life has been under the rule of King Malin; everyone within its walls is mandated to wear a mask at all times, so as not to reveal the cause of Verlockend's mysterious solitude to its enemies. The curse that covered the miles of fruitful land long ago is not only hard to look at, but deadly as citizens continue to age. The elderly members of the community are starting to disappear more and more often, sent far away from civilization due to the violent characteristics of the curse. Their heartbroken families never see them again. Despite the horrors of this, Fawn lives a comfortable life as a baker's daughter. Having lived this sad tale all her life, she has grown used to spending her days hidden behind cloth. But even within the mundane kitchen life, a secret as big as her kingdom's always looms in the back of her mind: she is not cursed. She was born an anomaly, the one Verlockan citizen without those grotesque features the curse brings; her skin is smooth and white as milk, keeping her immune from the curse's claws. When the home she thought she knew is suddenly turned upside down, Fawn realizes that she cannot live surrounded by secrets any longer. Her chance comes upon meeting a cunning stranger named Jacinth, whose bold spirit leads them both into an unexplored land to discover the truth behind all the lies. Along with wise Kendry, confident Wrendolyn, and some companions along the way, Fawn finds herself as she discovers the story behind her kingdom's fate - and if there is a way to break the curse once and for all.

Dawn Electra was your typical fandom-obsessed, sarcastic-but-friendly, need-music-to-live teenage girl... But she had a shattered childhood and hosted many strange secrets. On the first day of school, a cute boy dressed head to toe in black caught her attention. He was the most mysterious kid she'd ever seen, and she hoped to learn more about him. But that wasn't going to be easy; He's the boy no one talks to, the person everyone avoids, the one kid left out. He distanced himself from the world. But little did Dawn know, he had a reason behind his behavior. How could she unearth his secrets without revealing her own? Warning: swearing, violence, and parental abuse are mentioned. If you don't feel comfortable reading all that, then perhaps this isn't the story you're looking for! If you don't mind, then by all means, continue reading! Onwards, my friend!
