My name is Francine Muhoza;
Francine means "little free one" and Muhoza ( Calm person) but many people knows me by Farrah (meaning "Beauty" or pleasant") a name given to me by my sister since I was a kid.
I started writing when I was in primary my writings were based mostly on songs, when I joined high school I started with poetry , At first I didn't see myself as a writer or a poet, because, I was that kind of person who never took my writing seriously, I felt like it was something that everyone can do, It was in 2015 when I decided to show one of my writings to my classmates and my teachers .
I was so touched and surprised to see my friends shading tears and my teachers being emotional by my piece. When I asked my English teacher what he thinks he looked at me and asked me :
" Farrah where do you get this inspiration from?" which may be the same question from everyone.
I replied; I get inspiration from everything around me, nature, life, bad and good situations, everything valuable to me, people, moments of life, and everything that should not be taken for granted by this world.
A few days later My two poems ( my Home and Maman( meaning Mum) were published in the school magazine and that was when my journey started as a poet.
My goal is to reach out to so many people, to see people being changed by my writings, I want to be a voice for all those people who can't express themselves or that are afraid to speak, I want to share my thoughts and encourage my society through « THE MYSTERY OF POETRY. »
