"Hey, Joey. I know it's been a while but I had to come back. If you can hear me, please understand, this is your last chance. If nothing happens they're going to take you away from me for good. I know wherever you are right now is probably so much better than here. But I'm begging you, please. Wake up."

Joey and Aria are the definition of "best friends forever." They've spent the majority of their childhoods side by side. Even into the teen years the two continue to grow together. Despite the difficult transition of child to adult, the two find comfort and support from their families, friends, and each other.

But in one visceral instant that's all taken away from them. Joey ends up in a horrid car accident, placing him in a coma. With no guarantee as to when or if he will ever wake up. Aria is now left with a seemingly unconscious shell of her best friend and broken a heart. Thing is, Joey isn't as 'unconscious' as everyone thinks him to be. Though his body remains frozen in time, his mind is still active. But everyone on the outside has no idea of this. So will Aria and Joey's friendship truly last "forever?" Or will he become nothing but a faint memory to her as time passes by? And will Joey's mind eventually join his body in an eternal sleep? Or will he...
