Joey and Aria are the definition of "best friends forever." They've spent the majority of their childhoods side by side. Even into the teen years the two continue to grow together. Despite the difficult transition of child to adult, the two find comfort and support from their families, friends, and each other.
But in one visceral instant that's all taken away from them. Joey ends up in a horrid car accident, placing him in a coma. With no guarantee as to when or if he will ever wake up. After a few years of good friendship, Kiara realized her love for Cassandra took a different turn, she started to have feelings and soon after, she and Cassandra got into a relationship. Life was good. Too good. After graduation, something really really terrible happened. Cassandra got into a car accident. It was really bad. She got into a really bad coma. Now it's three years later and she's still fast asleep. Kiara's life has been on pause ever since. Until- Kiara also got into an accident. Not that kind of accident though..
