The Final Stand: Ludwig's Reign, Act 1

2015 Summary: No one would have ever expected the new king's reign to take the path it would in the future, but I can say this: the regime of the oldest, most arrogant and articulate of Bowser's children is certainly far from peaceful. Here is the story of how it all began and how everything lead up to an event that would change the Koopa family and their known world forever.

April 2026 Update: 11 YEARS LATER, I AM FINALLY FINISHING THE ORIGINAL STORY. TFS will now end with Part 1 (I'm scrapping Return II The Darklands and We III Kings) but I'm planning a really good ending to tie up all of the loose ends and plot holes from the original story. As a bonus (and writing exercise for me), I'm also remastering my old chapters! I mean, I have the "framework" little me left behind, so I want to bring her vision to life in ways she couldn't back then. It's going to take years like the original 80 chapters did, and I'm not gonna be able to do a chapter per night the way I did as a child, but I'm going to have a blast and go absolutely nuts with this! More than anything, I hope you'll have as much fun reading this as I will writing it :)
