In Forester's Asylum for the Insane, many children and humans have been made to believe that they are indeed insane. They are lied to, as they slowly progress into creatures of unimaginable power. But four teenage girls show to know more than the scientists of the Asylum. And they use it to their advantage as they escape from their own dark nightmares. But all isn't well as they run into dangerous creatures of a different kind.
And they must all work together to defeat the darkness not only in the world, but within themselves.
