Shimmer Lake (TAKING BREAK)
It's 1917 in the tiny town of Cobbingham, England. Rowena Griffinson turns 18 tonight. And all 17 years of her disappointing life have been spent in the Griffinson Manor, up until now. No friends. No freedom. No love. At least not from her father, Mr. Merle Griffinson, current owner of the manor, and not to mention emotionless and distant. Rowena and Mr. Griffinson rarely speak, until a fight on the night of her 18th birthday where things take a turn for the worse. After their big blowout, Rowena runs into (LITERALLY runs into) a boy her age who also seems to be in trouble... Each with their own issues, they decide to leave together for the next boat out of town. Albeit certainly with no lack of quarrels...The boy is very guarded, but Rowena is clingy and just as stubborn. But Rowena has another problem not even she is aware of. As each night passes, something takes over Rowena, causing an unconsciousness during the night... Whatever it is, it could consume her if she doesn't do something about it. What secrets lie beyond the manor for Rowena? And what secrets lie beneath Shimmer Lake? *This is a work of fiction, all people, places and events are purely fictional. Have you ever felt so broken that you couldn't pull yourself out of bed and continue to live your life like you used to. A simple task such as tying your shoes already seems like a huge burden on your account. Struggling with yourself because everything around you doesn't matter anymore. That's mainly because she broke my heart. Who knew love could turn a person around. Who knew love would hurt this bad. Who knew love can make you feel numb. A simple word yet it has an enormous impact in everyone's life. Everything happens for a reason, and I'm not blaming it all on her, though there are things you just wish you could take back and redo because of the feeling it gave you. And because of those traumatic event, I turned into a complete opposite of me. Well, that's until I met...her. You'd think that I've learned my lesson but she's different. I'm that cold-hearted until she drop down here on earth and save my miserable, sorry ass. A girl who doesn't know how to give up. A girl who's filled with happiness in a way that if you stare at her, there's this feeling you can't explain and it just lightens your mood. Some are fanfictions I have wrote but most are just original short stories. These can show the different kinds of love. Mostly romantic but there are a few friendship ones along the way. Or love out of respect. Some will be somewhat one-shot or scenario. These scenarios aren't in the order I wrote them in. But all of them will be relationships between two men.
