Casey is a sixteen year old orphan, the only life she had ever known was that of the orphanage and of the forest that surrounds it. Since she was young Casey had always felt a special connection to the forest and the mountains. Her only dream so unlike the others living with her was to run in the forest and become a true warrior of the forest like she had read about in stories. After almost ten years of training Casey is about to get the shock of her life and to be honest she might not be ready. But soon she learns that she is a lot stronger than she realized with ancient blood flowing through her veins and a prophecy following her ever step. She will learn that the adventure she had thought of so many times will not be as easy as she once thought. Her adventure will begin the moment she steps into the forest; it will test her strength, her powers and show her that even in the life of a warrior there is always time to look after her own heart.
Jake is an eighteen year old orphan and warrior. Two years ago he left the orphanage behind and is now a true warrior of his tribe, the fastest and one of the most trusted of all. After two years though he still thinks back to the orphanage, and all those he left; especially his love. Though she was younger than him she was able to tame him and his wild ways that came back the moment he entered his new home. One mission will start a chain reaction that could either end in destruction or new hope and life. With danger coming from all sides both from enemies and friends a like he has to trust what he knows and most importantly his heart. With his love by his side and an ancient voice to guide him will they be able to keep the forest alive? Or will everything end in disaster?

What's worse is that she can't get away from the violence because when she goes to school they do the same. *** I close my eyes so I could listen and smell everything in case this was the last time I would ever be in this beautiful forest. I chase away any bad or worried thoughts because this place seemed so sacred it did not allow them. I breath in and catch the sweet scent of lavender flowers that speckled the ground in little clumps and the dry smell of dirt that hadn't been rained on in a couple of day. I listen to the steady titters of birds as they fly from tree to tree, collecting little twigs and leaves to build their nests with. I listen to the buzz of the bees greedily feasting on the flowers that scattered around the dry forest floor. I open my eyes to take in the scenery, rays of sunlight filter through the green canopy, penetrating through the leaves and casting a green-yellow effulgence over the ground that wavers as the trees rustle in the light whispers of wind. The crunching of dry leaves under my feet alert me so I cast my eyes to the floor and watch as I step on each individual leaf and dry twig, enjoying the snapping sounds that echo through the near silent forest. Gnarly roots dip into ground and twisted branches reach down, fingers grasping the air, as if reaching for me and I shiver, thinking of my father. I cast my eyes up to think of something else and instantly calm as another puff of breeze rustles the leaves on the trees and ground gently. I look ahead and notice the steady thinning of the old trees and run towards it, loving the feeling of the air in my air and clothes. I spot what I think is light dancing on waters surface and sprint for it. Then I break through the trees, making it to the lake.Complete
