Ashlllyyyyyynnnnnn!!!!!!!!" screamed a familiar voice. I tried to call out, but my voice fails me.
"Ashlllyyyyyynnnnnn!!!!!!!!" The voice called out again. "Where are you?!?". This time it sounded more fragile and distant. I strained my ears trying to find the voice but, nothing. I struggled to pull myself off the ground, the harder I tried the further I sank. Slowly my vision goes black.
I awoke tangled in my blankets covered in a cold sweat. The voice still ringing fresh in my mind.

It was so cold, I could feel the bits of snow covering my body, as I laid captive in the cold. Sheet of soft, white blankets camouflaged the bushes and trees in the wonderland. The animals and insects were covered in the ice that kept them frozen in place, like puppets on a shelf. There were no flowing stream of water; they were frozen into a misty blue, icy surface. I had no memory of how I got here; I was with my mom and dad eating dinner. On a Friday, we were talking about our day and how we should plan a family vacation. That was it and now I'm in the forest that seems to be frozen in time. I pulled my legs into my chest and dug myself deeper into the winter snow of the ground. Thinking that if I were to burrow, maybe. Just maybe I could keep the heat from leaving my body. I pulled over my hoodie and shrunk my face into the scarf that was covering my mouth. My breathing was deep and long drawn, trying drastically to find warmth; white air came from me to the air of the cold. As the fearful winds pounded me, deeper into the hole and shifted away pieces of the snow that was around me. Slowly, my mind started to drift off. This wasn't good; I tried to keep my eyes from closing into asleep that would have been endless. But there was no use my weak, shivering body fell asleep, before I could even fight. And dreamed. Dreams are something you are battling that your mind plays on you to figure it out. Like a game that ends the way you make it. When you lose you can only blame yourself, and cry for something only you know because it's your mind. Your dream. Your... "Do you want to live". A voice swayed into my dream. "Or do you want me to leave you here". I knew I was dreaming, but am I dreaming in a dream. Is that even possible? Maybe it's just a voice made by my subconscious giving me someone to talk to. I don't want to be alone. So with the strength I had left I uttered, in a voice so quiet it was more of a whisper. "Please help me".

"This is a nightmare, it's only a nightmare..." I say to myself as I try to catch my breath while leaning against a tall pine tree. Only for a moment do I stay in that position until I hear a twig snap. I quickly leap away from the tree and run as fast as I can. "Wake up (Y/N)! just wake up!!!" I think to myself. "You are awake my dear..." I hear that voice. That damn voice. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!" I scream. I continue to run past trees and hopping over large rocks. The mist in the air begins to get thicker as I continue this race. "Why me? out of all the people this had to happen to me!" my brain races with thoughts until my foot gets caught by a tree root sticking out of the ground. I fall hitting my head on a rock. My vision is blurry and I can feel a warm liquid begin to stream down my face. "My dear (Y/N), look what you have done to yourself. You shouldn't have tried to run away." the voice goes through my head again. I look around and see nothing but trees. "LEAVE ME ALONE!!!" My voice begins to grow sore from the constant running and yelling. The sound of leaves crunching comes from behind me and I whip my head around until my eyes are met with him. "My dear (Y/N), you've made quite the mess of yourself. You know you are not aloud to leave......now you'll have to be punished." The figure says without any facial expression or motion. The figure begins to walk forward towards me. I try to back away until my vision becomes black and all I can hear is static.

An alarm bell rang, the main computer's voice sending chills up my spine. Hearing Masquerade Ventos over and over again sent me crashing through my former place of employment. Skidding to a stop in front of an open window, the bounty on my head would set anyone up for life. A breeze blew my shaggy layered hair up, a rich black claiming my bangs and the hair lining my face. Jet black tips tickled my cheeks, my shaking hands ripping off a rope from my cargo pants. Tying the rope around the window's handle, a lump formed in my throat at the rope bouncing done the remaining half of the building. Propelling down gingerly, my slight fear of heights was going to the death of me. Feeling around for solid ground, the heels of my boots hit the cracked pavement. Sprinting into the crowd on the street, a dozen spies descended upon me. Snatching a sweatshirt from a chair, a flick of my wrist had it floating onto me. Disappearing into the bathroom, I hopped on top of the toilet. Dozens of footfalls clicked in, the stall doors blew open. Counting them, mine would be next. Clammy sweat drenched my skin, a group of women coming in causing them to leave. Jumping off the toilet, I poked my head out. Giggling like a bunch of idiots, a polite smile disarmed them. Ditching the hoodie in the trash, confusion twisted their features as I pulled myself through the small window on the other side of the bathroom. Landing inches from my enemy's entrance, a long sigh drew from my lips. He was the only one who could help me bring down my corrupt employer, my fingers curling around the edge of the sewer lid. Jumping down while placing it back, disgusting water splashed over the top of my boots. Closing my eyes, the map of his headquarters played out in my head. Opening my eyes, his face hovered inches from mine.

Saved By a Stranger

1 part Complete

No one stopped to look. No one glanced in the alley I cried in. I was tired of this place, so tired of the endless days that stretched out before me. The emptiness in my heart was eating me alive, with no end in sight. My own darkness was swallowing me whole and leaving nothing alive. The tears froze on my bright red cheeks. I was tired of feeling so broken, but most of all I was tired of being so alone. I pulled out the cold heavy weapon from my coat and stared at it. "If someone would look this way," I thought, "If someone would just glance at me and see my pain. I won't do it." There was a man standing in front of me. After he removed the single bullet from my pistol, he handed it back to me, and left. I followed the man at a distance back to his apartment. He knew that I had followed him and waited at the door to let me in. For reasons I cannot explain I entered his tiny apartment. I fell asleep at the table playing with the bullet and woke up to my alarm the following morning. There was a pillow beneath my head, a blanket over my shoulders, and a note that read: "Dear Stranger..."
