Fifteen year old Cecelia Laurence witnessed a murder she sure wasn't suppose to witness. And no, this was no ordinary murder. This murder was much bigger then an ordinary murderous scenario. And for that, Cecelia had to pay a price. A big price.
After almost three years since his father, the King's murder, Prince Nathan Rider seeks to find the killer and avenge his death.
His step mother, the Queen had assured him that the killer was a girl close to his age.
Concealing his royal identity and attending a normal high school, little does he know, that the girl he seeks revenge from, is not the killer. And even more so, ultimately becomes the love of his life and the key to his revenge.

We all make promises. We all say that we'll keep those promises going for eternity. But, they never actually last that long. Being royal doesn't mean they're immune to the outside world. They have feelings just like anyone else. They have deaths and they have issues they need to deal with. Princess Abigail isn't any different. She lost her mum young, she feels pressured by the public to be the epitome of perfect. Her boyfriend, Klein, is trying to help her but she feels like he's adding to her pressure. And often she feels like there's no way out. When she was younger, she had an accident that's led her to live the way she does. She hates things the way they are. She just wants everything to freeze so she can bask in its glory before it's disappeared for good. Her mother, Queen Louisa, died before Abigail reached her teenage years, therefore, her mother made Abigail promise a lot of things. Some of them are quite absurd but Abigail promised them nonetheless. All she wanted was to make her mother proud. Her father, brother, grandmother, cousin, soon-to-be in-laws and her boyfriend are trying hard to get her to see sense. They just don't know if they're trying too hard or not at all. He watched as her eyes skimmed over his dark eyes and black hair with barely a reaction. He felt his pride twinge a bit so he went further. Lifting his hands, he let the blood drip from them. Her eyes widened slightly and her chin rose. She looked at his hands then back at him. His dark eyes gleamed in a challenge. "You've not harmed me or mine, faery." She spoke out loud. "Blood does not scare me and neither do you. Keep your dog on its leash." Then she turned and calmly walked back inside. Intrigued now, he went to the window of the house and watched as she reassured her mother that the dog was gone "I'll see you tonight, reckless child." He promised softly. **** Marcus felt himself beginning to wake and struggled to stay in the dream. But it was no use. His eyes opened and he released the pillow his hand was gripping. It was the same one that she had laid her head on every night. His head went into the pillow heavily for a moment, breathing in her faint scent. He hated and treasured dreams like that with equal fervor. He rolled over on his back and stared at the ceiling. It had been decades since she'd been forced to break that promise.
