Misa Amane wasn't as affected by Light's death as she had expected she'd be. Sayu wasn't very affected by his death either. The past had numbed them apperantly.
Misa went back to her old career. She wasn't depressed, and never commited suicide.
After a while she'd become accostumed to this life. On a very fateful day, a notebook fell from the sky into her garden. Before she even picked it up, she experienced a strange déjà-vu like feeling.
