Annabeth Chase is a country girl in the kingdom of Crete who is forced with labor. All day, chores that never end. Prohibited to leave and sleeps on a haystack, Annabeth wants something better than her life. Her badly treatment from her step mom never ends. Although being prohibited to leave the house, why can't she be a little rebellious?

She goes to the library, only to find something - or someone - who can change her life forever.
