Sehari setelah kecelakaan Lion Air JT 610  akhir Oktober lalu, aku melakukan perjalanan udara dengan maskapai yang sama. Sebenarnya takut juga, tapi hari itu pikiranku jernih dan dingin seperti es, jadi aku putuskan untuk menulis cerita ini. Ini cerpen sepanjang sekitar tiga ribu kata, maka kubagi menjadi tiga bagian biar dibacanya enak dan membangun plotnya asyik. Aku juga kangen menulis cerpen dalam bahasa Indonesia lagi. Have you ever just looked around in a room full of people and suddenly someone caught your eye. When you studied that person from afar, or up close, watching their mannerisms and personality, you just couldn't help but feel like, "He/She could be the one." (Hannah Montana reference) The person that you're meant to be with. The person God, or fate, chose for you to be your soulmate. You could literally meet them anywhere at any time in any situation, and you'd instantly feel a connection that draws you to want to learn more about them and be someone important to them. Now think about all the thousands of people who travel through an international airport in one day. Wouldn't it make sense if two complete strangers were able to meet each other in an airport and turn out to be soulmates?
