After the monsters went to the surface, Chara stayed underground.  She stayed in the ruins and she would occasionally hear Sans on the other side. Sans never dared to open the door, because he only enjoyed her company. Every Time he saw her face, images of papyrus dying was all he saw. But lately, Sans would blush on the rare times he saw her ghostly face.
