"How many romance books do you read?" Devin asks me. I shrug. "I like them," I say. I keep browsing, running my fingers along the spines. "So, you like romance then?" he asks me. I nod. Like a bolt of lightning, this stupid boy appeared in my life. First day of summer break between first and second grade, he just appeared- standing on my porch like he was born there.
