Vienna Ducaisia is one of them, a Duchess since she was found as an abandoned orphan. As beautiful and pure as snow that ever falls on her beloved city.
Her life is spent in the towering city skyscrapers and golden spires, amongst the glitz of stars and champagne. Her world of royal balls and airship cruises is leagues above the smoky alleyways and rust stained snow banks of the mafia that truly run Ikafell. The Smit family strangles the glimmering city from the shadows with their ever growing gangs of orphaned kids.
Ashe D'Arcy is one of them, a wretch of the streets since Lucrexia Smit found him as a howling baby left in a gutter. As downtrodden and cold as the slush that plagues his dark alleys.
When the impossible happens and the two meet Ashe vows to open Vienna's eyes to the city's harsh reality as she is determined to show him the beauty she still sees. But together they will shake the foundations of the city, for better or for worse....
