"You can't leave me. I've already lost too many people, and you CANNOT be one of them." I yelled, through my tears. Meet Izzy, a 18 year old girl, trying to make her way through another new school. She claims she's never stayed in the same school for over a few months, but this time, it's different. Every time she starts a new school, she gets it all handed to her right on a golden plate. She makes people believe she's fine, when her life is actually just the opposite. This is the boy next door. Adam. He's 19 years old and a total trouble maker. He moves in shortly after Izzy, and once he realizes how completely opposite they are, he tries to get closer. Normally he's the kid you see at lunch, sitting with no one. Just him, his lunch, and a basic pair of headphones. Music helps him block out everything, which is his alternate way to live. When these two meet, will they be everything they expect? Or something more?

Meet Lesley Parker, an English Literature student who has a rough time with her life, working 2 shifts at Jackie's to Go. She has to keep up with her family, because even if her mother is there, she isn't there. Meet Adam Reindl, a mysterious green-eyed boy who enters the store and turns her life upside down. Two hearts collide, secrets reveal, and hope is what keeps them going. *** Blurp below! As I arrive, I find Adam walking toward me. Before I open my mouth to argue, he holds up a finger, gesturing to me to be quiet. "You're stubborn, naive, and a pain in the ass. But I'm not letting you go on the subway with strangers who smell awfully bad," he says. "You're a stranger, too!" I state out and cross my arms. "What's the difference?" I ask. "Well, first of all, I'm not a stranger. We both know that. And second of all... I smell good," he smirks. "Don't flatter yourself," I mock. "Please Lesley! Just get in the car," he says. And I see defeat filling up his piercing green eyes. I look down as he sighs and runs a hand through his thick black hair. "I'll give you your keys back," he says as he raises his eyebrow, waiting for me to reply. "Fine." I storm by him and slam the car door shut.
