Having been living with her father in Lysia for most of her life, seven year old elf Faylen Hyfall, hasn't exactly got an exciting life. Most of her days just evolve the simple things, like doing chores, playing in her garden, and spending very little time with her distant parent. With only herself to keep company, everyday is always the same routine.
That is until, she meets a human boy named Alek. Alek works in the city's gryphon stables for the Knights of Lysia, a group of elite soldiers with the ability to conjure up all kinds of magik.
And over time, the both of them start to grow closer to one another, bonding through similar upbringings. But their friendship is forbidden. Elves and humans are not allowed to be together in any form or capacity. And Lysia would tear them apart, no matter what it takes.
Not wanting to lose each other, the two conjure up a plan. A plan to escape. To a land, far to the east, which is said to be a land where anyone could be free from Lysia's oppression. To live without rule. A land named Asius.
But what both of them don't fully realise, is that Asius is home to a formidable band of thieves. The Riders of Twilight. Which are said to be full of the worst of the worst, pirates, assassins, and much worse. And if caught by them, they risk being prisoners all over again.
For many years, all Faylen has ever wanted was a proper family, to be loved and cared by someone. Going on this adventure of hers, it just might be her chance to find one, and she will do all she can to keep it. But destiny is a tricky thing.
Even if Faylen doesn't realize it herself, her journey that she will undoubtedly go on, will not just change the world. She just may be destined to save it as well.
Do you ever feel like you were born into the wrong world?
Because that is exactly how Elodie Penvensie felt. Her twin brother Peter, and the rest of her younger siblings never understood her. In fact, they used to distance themselves from her quite a bit, seeing as Elodie's nose was always in a book, dreaming about the fantastical worlds she wished she was born into.
And sometimes, wishes come true.
Elodie's did when her youngest sister, Lucy, found herself walking through the wardrobe and into a land covered in snow. And for a moment, her life was perfect. It was everything she could've ever wanted. But all good moments must come to an end as they accidentally left the magical kingdom of Narnia.
But when they're finally summoned back to face an army by the likes of which they'd never seen before, Aslan's words ring true. Nothing happens the same way twice.
Because this time, they're given aid by Prince Caspian, the Tenth. And Elodie has never met someone so similar to her and yet so different in her entire lifetime, both in and outside of Narnia.
So join Elodie on the adventure of a lifetime. Join her in Narnia, because Narnia has missed their High Queen.
