Our Sneak Out by Fascinator

This is the future. The world isn't how it was supposed to be. Everything is coming to an end. Scientists are doing all they can to find another world to live in. And then they are some humans who are trying to fix the world. With all the creatures coming to an end, the Earth warming up, we all need to agree that the Earth can't be fixed. Mia somehow survived. Because her dad was a scientist after all. She knows she will soon be leaving the Earth and everything behind. The real question is will they survive or will the human race come to an end? * * * Join Mia on her exciting journey, with sparks of love and inevitable struggles. If we stayed there any longer, we would have died. Earth was no longer our home, but instead a barren waste land from which we had to escape. Its calm blue oceans were replaced by big empty pits, and the green grass which used to cover our planet has now died, leaving all ground we tread on brown. The sun was getting too close to earth. It was going to explode soon, meaning we would have to leave. Either that, or die on what we called home. Not everyone left, not everyone was saved, but most of us are here in our new home. It's a huge space station called 'Earth Resides'. All of us who made it here, though, refer to it as our last resort. My names Mia. I've been here nine years. The year is 8 billion and the Sun is dying. The richest of humanity has made its way to the distant Life planet Cerulone, leaving behind billions to die. Fast-evolving alien flora invades local ecosystems, converting acres and acres of land to thorny waste. Cultivation is impossible, and life on Earth is nearly extinct. The last humans on the face of the planet are plagued by a fatal disease, starvation and unquenchable thirst. In the midst of this survives Kun, a part of a band of youths. They fight to live each day, stealing and killing for anything they need as is the way of this world. Little do they know what is coming their way. A dangerous journey through the vast desert that is Earth for a sliver of hope. Is it worth it?

All the earth is torn asunder. There used to be grass, and the sun used to be golden. Children played outside, climbing trees with smiles on their faces and grass stains on their knees. People worried about a million things that would soon be irrelevant, continuing without a clue of the disaster to come. Centuries later, what little is left of humanity survives in a society constructed beneath the surface of a glass dome, the world outside converted to little more than a desert wasteland. Survival in space was our only option. The dying earth and its sickly inhabitants forced us to flee to the stars. My father, the commander of the elite group chosen to live amongst the stars, brought me along for the journey. And everything was going smoothly until I unexpectedly woke up on a new planet, one with an ethereal glow and an eerie resemblance to our old home as the commander of the military space force, my father tasked his men with exploring this new world. But what they discovered was far from welcoming. This new planet was already inhabited by terrifying creatures, and they were not happy with our presence. His men fought to survive against these beasts, I couldn't help but wonder why they were so hostile towards us. That's when one of them approached me, defying everything we had been warned about. Instead of attacking, it watched me pick flowers before later saving me from a fiery blast. Now it's my turn to save him. Please read the prologue in the beginning before going to Chapter 1. Earth, our home. But... something is wrong. As the nature of reality makes itself known, watch earth react, and change, with fear, hate, progress, and love. To the grand events the universe has in store for earth. As the world changes, as the universe revivals aliens exist, but not the world ending kind. As humanity realizes... perhaps the universe is too good for us. --- A story within The Everything canon, a foundation to it. This is a passion project, and I'm still developing my writing style, so feedback is welcome! If you create fan art, I'd be happy to include it (with credit). The current cover may replace if I get something better. I plan to release one chapter a day, until i catch up to my 109 page story google doc. Edit my chapters to make them better, and more. Refine it over time. Once i run out of backlog content, idk.
