Sabriel Blackwell has been trained her whole life to hunt and kill werewolves for one reason: They hunt her family as well. For generations, they've been hunting and fighting for their lives- even as their family dwindles.

For as long as she can remember, she's fought carefully planned battles, narrowly escaping death time after time as her family desperately tries to end their curse. But when her only remaining family, her father and brother, are murdered and she herself is bitten by the wolf that did it, she finds herself utterly unprepared. Determined not to let her family's killer run free, she chooses to push the limits of her new curse in pursuit of revenge.

All of her training fails her as she's thrown into a world of darkness and creatures she never imagined. But being unprepared never stopped her before.
