Caterina Wedlow is a unknowingly saddened Dame who worked under the royal name in the Empire of Nixaedora. Not only is she disliked by her fellow coworkers, but her intelligence is suppressed by everyone around her because women are only seen as 'devices to a man'. Since Caterina knows her own worth, she is knowledgeable that she has the answers to information that can save the Empire against an event that is sure to wipe out at least half of the Empires population, but nobody will listen. While on the job, she gets an idea that could cause many risks to herself and others, but it would save the rest of the Kingdom she was loyal to. She commits to the idea, preparing herself for the task at hand; even if it had to overthrow the Royal Family.

The world showed her no mercy in it's ways so why should she. ~~~ I let out a small sigh wanting more of this. I wanted to be held like this whenever I felt broken. Feel the way he puts me back together in his arms. It ate at my heart and I could have sworn I felt a feathery kiss on my head. It was as if he could hear my thoughts and was kissing them away for me. Slowly he lets one hand go, the other staying around me as he brings my chin up to him gently wiping my last tears as more fill my eyes. He sees this and his eyes look... crumbled. If you feel this way then why can't you choose me, Dominic. I shake my head from his hands wishing to step back but he pulls me back to him a pain filled groan leaving him. "Just one more minute. A story of a writer who has to live as a character in a world she hasn't quite fully developed yet. A terrible writer with terrible concepts of magic in a fantasy world--and yes, there are glitches. TW: anxiety/depression/existential crisis esp in the earlier chapters, but quite mild, nothing we all haven't experienced before (I think anyone would reasonably panic in MC's situation).
