We all know the story of shifters. Alphas are the strong leaders. Betas are the resident geniuses. Gammas are your average physical laborers. Omega are your woman uninterested in higher positions and male breeders content with being household support and artistic visionaries. But were's are no different from people. They are complex and different, with their own strengths, weaknesses, and preferences. So, what happens, when a shifter doesn't meet the standards we all know they usually follow? His parents, though they encourage him to be assertive, only taught him obedience, never to question them, no matter the circumstance. Because he doesn't feel like an alpha he should be, he doesn't want to be an alphas He wants to be him. Mark Romane is an Omega. You wouldn't know it if you saw him though. He is muscular, assertive, and popular. He covers his scent with that of a Gamma. He wants better, needs better. He won't bend for anybody. He will go as high as he needs so that he won't ever fall to the needs of another, no matter what his wolf or instincts tell him. He doesn't want to be the weak, pretty, and gentle Omega they expect of him. He just wants to be him. (This story is a mature one, containing sexual themes between to males. In a world full of choices, in every nation, there is always a superior, like a chain. All are identical and produced the same but there is always been an above and a below to keep it together. In the land entitled; the land of superiority the kingdom of Velice, where people have not only one but two genders to signify their position and role. Beta are basically your everyday human with some exceptions, they have a very weak scent and have the role of neutral they are not above nor below of the chain. Alpha is the more aggressive one out of everyone. They are the larger and stronger ones, the dominant ones in bed. They like to take the lead and will challenge anyone who is against them. And lastly, the Omega is the softer and gentle of these roles. They are the nurturing parents who raise their children and they are the only ones in here who can get pregnant besides Beta females. With these beliefs and stereotypes, no one is brave and willing to change their hierarchy, therefore it became a rule in the kingdom for people to stay in their roles. Up until now.
