After the incident with his mother, Shoto couldn't handle it anymore. He would find ways to harm himself, he refuses to eat and he was cold and quiet. Endeavour deemed Shoto as a failure and send him off to a mental hospital. Endeavour lend over Shoto to a doctor that promises to change him.
Sadly, the brutal techniques that was used on Shoto's body, never changed his mind. He was still scared. Afraid. Anxious.
He would become violent to any caretaker that comes by. To the point that any caretaker that was in charge of Shoto, quits.
Shoto was now the age of 21, still stuck in this asylum. Prison.
Until, Katsuki came around.

Todoroki seems to see right through him and it's scary. The other teen just shrugs. "I don't think I know anything. I just know you've been sad and I don't like it. That's all." Or Mitsuki dies and Bakugo is dead set on keeping the information from everyone. The problem is Todoroki.
