Her auburn hair ripples like a sea of fire down her toned back. Her eyes are as green as a jungle on a bright sunny day. She is absolutely stunning, and she has the nerve to throw it in my face that I can not have her. She taunts me in my sleep, mocking me with her luscious red lips. Her words echo through my head day in and day out, telling me to do unthinkable things. I must make her happy. She WILL love me one day. I will make sure of it. Emily Deveaux is your typical small town girl. Her grades were impeccable and she is always willing to help anyone in need. Ten years ago, she left her small town of Graves Hollow to follow her dream of becoming a big city detective just like her father and grandfather had done before her. Now, with her Grandfathers health deteriorating, she moves back to Graves Hollow to take his place as Lieutenant. Upon her arrival, bodies start piling up, each one eerily resembling herself. Who is the killer? What is his motive? Can she figure out the answers before it is too late?

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights.
