Ever since her father died her mother had become more paranoid, which made both Valencia and Valerie paranoid. Well, it didn't actually make them paranoid, it just made them more cautious. Both girls paid attention to every noise, every movement, anything around them was seen and or heard. They noticed everything. It helped that they both had an advantage. Vanessa could hear everything someone thought. And Valerie could force someone to tell her what they were thinking.
Valencia has been on the run from the Establishment and Castle for four years now. She helped her mother and sister escape from their home and then hid them in a remote location. Valencia left them there after a week, figuring the Boss and Castle would stop trying to find them if they went after her. Her sister was a more prized possession, but since they couldn't get to her they chose to go after Valencia. Both Castle and the Boss of the Establishment figured they could use her to learn what their enemies wanted and find out if anyone was going to try and overthrow them. Castle sent a few of his super people after her but she took them out. Between her mother teaching her how to fight and her powers, she won pretty easily. The Boss did the same, only it was with normal people.
Valencia has managed to stay away from them but she doesn't know how much longer she can do that.
